Description

Standard EPA specification 47mm filter cassettes, for use in most air particulate sampler brands. The 47mm Filter Cassette holds the delicate sample filter in PM_2.5 FRM reference method samplers and similar instruments while air is drawn through it to deposit the dust or smoke sample for weighing and lab analysis.

Our 47mm filter cassettes are manufactured in the USA, and have become an industry standard worldwide. The cassettes are CNC machined from solid white Delrin acetal polymer to precise tolerances for a consistent leakproof fit. The assembly includes a precision stainless steel screen disc, with a laser-marked brand and serial number on the bottom side for optimal traceability. Custom laser marking is available for a nominal fee, and the laser markings can be optionally deleted. Note: Filter cassette transport cans are sold separately. The old set part number FC47 including the transport can is still available for the same price as ordering the cassette and transport can as separate line items.

FC47NC filter cassettes are manufactured to strict US EPA 40 CFR Part 50 specifications, and are compatible with air samplers from all manufacturers and brands that use standard EPA type filter cassettes. These cassettes are not compatible with Thermo Scientific Partisol® 2000i or 2025i samplers, which use slightly different filter cassettes with a chamfer angle on the top inside edge.
